Guest Comic: Any Questions?
I love this story and I love this comic. It so perfectly captures those pivotable moments when we decide how we're going to approach something as difficult as cancer.
I'm so happy with this piece by Wesley Hall, a fellow webcomic artist who I've made friends with since starting Cancer Owl. Wesley has a crazy amazing for telling a big story in a minimal way. I've been a fan of anything he's put out, which often includes great comics about fatherhood. Do yourself a favor and get lost in his great comics at namelesspcs.com.
And as for Kelly, here's the whiteboard that inspired the story:
Here is Kelly's original submission:
Waking up after bilateral mastectomy, I was dopey with Morphine. I mumbled "wonder where my boobs are now?" And My husband then wrote on the white board in my hospital room under Your Questions: Where are my boobs? I laughed so hard and took a picture of it. That set the tone for how I would handle this new crisis-with humor.
